Undergraduate Concentration: Courses

Behavioral Finance

Value investing is closely intertwined with behavioral finance. Swings in investor psychology often explain why stocks trade far below or far above their intrinsic value.

This course challenges the precepts of the Efficient Market Theory, which is based on the belief that investors make rational, predictable and non-emotional decisions. Students explore the psychological roots of decision-making to gain insights on investor behavior and how it affects asset prices.
