Highlights from Alan Blinder Event
Alan Blinder, Ph.D., leading economist and political expert, discussed the clash of economics and politics through the words of his new book, Advice and Dissent: Why America Suffers When Economics and Politics Collide.
American economic policy and politicians historically have had complications connecting on their viewpoints. The cultural divide separates these two forums, which the country expects to be unified and run efficiently. To a fault, politicians are concerned with winning elections and keeping their counterparts satisfied while economists provide their calculated standpoint, leaving our nation in a world full of disconnect. Blinder will discuss ways to bridge the gap between these two parties to encourage unity amongst the leaders of our nation.
